Xiao Yao San, "Carefree Wandering Powder", is based on Xue Ji's 1530 Ming Dynasty variation of an earlier Song Dynasty formula first published in the "Official Prescriptions to Benefit the People of the Taiping Era" of 1110. This formula is useful to relieve Neck and Shoulder Tension, Depression, Frustration, Headaches and Migraines, Premenstrual Syndrome, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
